The purpose of this organization is to promote professional development through continuing education and networking opportunities, enabling members to effectively utilize their abilities, talents, and strengths in delivering local government services. Additionally, it aims to support the objectives outlined in the constitution of the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) by:
- Fostering cooperation among municipalities through the DMCA, facilitating the exchange of experiences and methods to ensure that each clerk can benefit from the insights of others.
- Cultivating a better understanding of the functions and responsibilities of clerks.
- Gathering and disseminating information to enhance procedures and the professional image of clerks.
- Providing professional development opportunities tailored for clerks.
- Organizing periodic conferences and meetings of Municipal Clerks through the DMCA and IIMC to discuss challenges and conduct research to identify solutions.
