Established in 1992, the Delaware Municipal Clerks Association (DMCA) supports individuals in the role of Municipal Clerk, regardless of their title.
The purpose of the DMCA is to foster professional development through continuing education and networking opportunities, enabling members to leverage their abilities, talents, and strengths in the effective delivery of local government services. The DMCA advances these goals by:
- Cultivating a deeper understanding of the functions and responsibilities of clerks.
- Gathering and disseminating information to enhance procedures and the professional image of clerks.
- Promoting cooperation among clerks through the exchange of ideas, information, and experiences.
- Offering professional development opportunities tailored for clerks.
- Organizing periodic conferences and meetings for clerks to discuss challenges and explore solutions.
